Privacy & Compliance Specialist Is (“P&C Is”) review and respond to confidential legal requests for electronic customer records in compliance with the legal/policy requirement of content owners and the laws of applicable jurisdictions. They initiate and respond to international and domestic law enforcement inquiries and answer questions regarding report results. P&C Is report to a Privacy & Compliance Assistant Manager/Manager and have no supervisory responsibility. The P&C team provides client coverage from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, M-F.  Ability to work shifts is imperative.

Essential Functions

  1. Receive, analyze and deliver results responsive to criminal legal process within target Service Level Agreements (“SLA”), including data preservations, extensions, legal demands for electronic data, law enforcement inquiries and legal request rejections
  2. Assess, prioritize, triage and escalate emergency, urgent and standard law enforcement requests for data
  3. Identify and escalate matters that are out of compliance or require review by a teammate or client point of contact
  4. Identify and escalate technical tool failures or bugs which may result in work slowdown, work stoppage or corrupted/incorrect data pulls
  5. Respond to law enforcement and other designated, approved contacts to answer questions
  6. Complete tracking and request logging as requested by the client or management
  7. Perform Quality Assurance audit on legal requests completed by peers; escalate issues or discrepancies to management
  8. Complete necessary internal and client-based trainings and maintain credentials, passwords and tool access
  9. Other duties as assigned

  6. Ability to work under stress of frequent interruption and/or distractions, follow through on assignments and set priorities relative to work importance
  7. Ability to work well independently and on teams
  8. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, Skype and Word
  9. Ability to work shifts

Education & Experience

  1. Bachelor’s Degree or related work experience
